Name: Lyric
Type: Alaskan Malamute
Sex: Female
Age: Adult
Lyric is an appealing fluffy mature Malamute female whose antics make me smile. Lyric was
adopted by an irresponsible person, who let her roam at large. Animal control kept picking
her up as a stray. She ended up in Oklahoma Rescue, where we were told nobody wanted
to adopt her because she is smaller than the Malamutes in that area. So Lyric came into our
rescue and here she waits for a home that will appreciate her special charm. Lyric is a
smaller female, weighing a little over 60 pounds. She is active, energetic, and friendly. Her
fluffy coat is attractive and easy to maintain. Whenever she has an opportunity, she will jump
up on the grooming table for brushing and kisses and treats. Lyric loves to dig and she
actively hunts pocket gophers on our rural property. This means no cats as companions for
this girl. She has been bullied by some of the other dogs here, so if she goes to a home with
another dog, the dog would have to be male, gentle and laid back. And introductions would
be necessary. Lyric is best known for her athletic ability that she shows by jumping straight
into the air, all four feet off the ground. We call her the Jack in the Box Malamute.
